Meet Our Team
John Weeks
Is a second-generation member of the broadband industry. John graduated from the University of Georgia (BBA 1981), which prepared him to lead the family business and followed in his father’s footsteps in 1982.
John’s Father, John Weeks Sr., began his cable career in 1953 with Jerrold Electronics/Motorola and many years later he spent time with Anixter-Pruzan. That distribution experience prepared him to open his family-owned regional distributor in 1974 to service Cable TV operators in the Southeast called, John Weeks Enterprises, supporting the then fledgling Cable TV industry. Upon his Fathers retirement in the late 1980’s, John took over full time leadership and management of the business. John Weeks Enterprises operated as a traditional regional distributor, and a Manufacturer’s Representative in the Southeast.
In 2011, John Weeks Jr. started his Manufacturer’s Representative agency called JW Telecom Sales, Inc. John brings a unique perspective, because of his vast knowledge and participation in both distribution, and as a Manufacturer Sales Representative to the broadband industry.
Over the course of his career John has traveled the entire nine state footprint that JW Telecom currently covers in the Southeast. John has been an active in all the state associations and SCTE Chapters in the footprint including serving as a board member for several chapters. John has actively participated in countless training opportunities with these organizations. John is a firm believer, in building a technically competent work force across the markets the company serves.

Greg Brown
Is an Atlanta native. Greg has a BBA (1980) from Georgia State University. After graduation Greg begin his professional career in industrial leasing/financing, during this time he joined the Florida State Auxiliary highway patrol and began a 25-year volunteer firefighter position with the City of Alpharetta.
Greg began his career in the cable industry in 2000, with ADC, which provided him an early introduction into the fiber product industry. Greg had responsibility for sales, including MSO’s, Tier 1, Tier 2 as well as Tier 2 Telco providers throughout the Southeast. He later went to work for Arris/CommScope, as a regional account manager in the SE. Greg spent time with ComSonics and Commercial Electronics, two well respected technology providers in the broadband space.
Greg joined JW Telecom Sales in 2014 and has traveled the entire SE footprint that JW Telecom Sales is responsible for. Greg’s focus is Western Georgia including Metro Atlanta, Alabama, Mississippi, and North Florida.
Greg has been involved with several SCTE Chapters and currently serves on the board of the Dixie SCTE chapter in Alabama.

John Kiser
Is a Virginia native, and currently lives on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. John graduated from Elon University (BBA 1987).
John began his professional career as an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry.
In 2006, he joined the broadband industry with Verizon. John held many roles with Verizon including; sales, marketing and management roles.
John joined Commercial Electronics in 2012 as a Sales Director with responsibility for sales over an 11-state area, including our current JW Telecom Sales footprint. That experience has afforded him the opportunity to establish deep relationships within the footprint he is currently covering for the company. John currently serves on the board of the Music City SCTE Chapter in Nashville.
John joined JW Telecom Sales in 2022.

Gus Raton
In 1994, Gus began his professional career in the data cabling industry with Anixter in Atlanta. Gus had many roles while working with Anixter. He started in marketing and sales. Later he was transferred to Austin, Texas where he worked inside sales for the GSA Group and was part of the top 5% in sales in 1999 for Anixter US. In 1999 Gus joined Anicom in Austin, Texas as the Branch Mgr. He was involved in business development, Sales and branch operations.
In 2004, Gus moved up to Anicom-Dallas, as a director of the Wireless Market. During that time Gus was responsible for sales, marketing and management roles throughout the US. Gus relocated Orland to work for Andrew as a manufacturer in the wireless industry to manage the distribution channels. His territory was Florida and parts of the Caribbean.
Gus joined Graybar in Orlando in 2009 as account manager for the low-voltage and data-comm markets. He was responsible for business development to maintain and growing the customer base in the central Florida market. He was also part of the PowerSmart team during his time at Graybar. In 2019, Gus joined the Maxcell OSP group. He was the Florida territory manager and one of his many roles was to meet with end user’s, contractor and engineering firms to drive Maxcell’s business. He also supported the field training to all the contractors to secure a proper install of the Maxcell product.
Gus attended Rollins College in Winter Park Florida and majored in Business Administration.
